The Financial Times published an online article which hits the nail on the head regarding the goal of the KONY 2012 campaign. The journalist states that the film breathes life into the ongoing hunt for Joseph Kony, while also making the point that even though the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) is down to a few hundred rebels they are still abducting, killing, and remain a very real threat.

One of the articles most important points: In this issue on the ground, propaganda and military efforts go hand-in-hand.

“When one of Mr Kony’s many wives saw a smiling photograph of another wife who had escaped his clutches, she decided to flee. […] The leaflet she saw was another Invisible Children initiative. Published in three local languages, they feature photos and drawings of LRA members escaping and being reunited with their families.”
