Artist Ambassadors Update: Circa Survive

We’re really proud of our friends Anthony, Colin, Brendan, Nick and Steve (more commonly known as Circa Survive). Last week they announced and began pre-sales of their first independently produced album – Violent Waves.

Over the years we have been on both indie and major record labels. We are thankful for the opportunities we’ve had with them but it’s 2012 and we want to try something we’ve never done before. We produced this record ourselves. This is raw Circa Juice straight from us to you. We also paid for it with our own money; money that likely came from you buying a ticket or t-shirt over the years. All in all we have never been more deeply involved in every aspect of creating a record. – Circa Survive

Any Invisible Children + Circa Survive fan would know that to be 100% true. This past fall, we had over 90 fans donate $100+ to our Musician Coalition fundraising campaign and are being rewarded for their generosity by having their names in ‘Violent Waves’ liner notes.

In light of the album release, Invisible Children Music will be giving away 5 autographed copies of ‘Violent Waves’ throughout this week. Starting today (Monday, July 1st), check our twitter from 1-3pm PDT every afternoon for the contest-of-the-day and learn how to get your name entered into the daily drawing.* Winners will be announced by 5pm PDT on the day of each contest.**

- Kenny, Alex & Lauren

*Winners can only win one CD throughout the week, of course. Gotta share the love people.
**Should be announced by 5pm, don’t hate us if we’re a few minutes late.

Invisible Children Music Takes on The Frontline

The Musician Coalition from INVISIBLE CHILDREN on Vimeo.

Hey you. Our beloved supporters. We know you are working yourselves to the bone to reach your fundraising goals. No doubt it’s hard work and an incredible responsibility.

Invisible Children Music & The Voice Project want you to know you are not alone; we’re hustlin every day too.

We’ve stepped up alongside you and made it our goal to raise $100,000 for the Frontline Tour.

We thought it’d be exciting to empower the culture creators we all know and love to also raise money with their fans. Artists from all over the world are right now empowering their supporters to join us in ending the reign of Joseph Kony. Some stellar bands are even playing private shows, hosting soundcheck parties and stacking our giveaways for fans who donate to their goal.

We’re calling it The Musician Coalition.

Artist updates will be announced daily via Twitter, with recaps at the end of each week for you bloggers. Follow @invisible_music to learn about auctions, giveaways, secret shows and more.

Shout out to Florencio Zavala (Former director of Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number One) for designing our official promo poster announcing the first round of artists who have signed on to The Musician Coalition.

Special Music Department Announcement: Fall Tours/Festivals

We have been busy. Unusually busy. Coming out of summer felt a little like that “going back to school” sensation, but in a good way. Kenny and I are ready to embark on the biggest Fall campaigns we’ve ever launched from our little music department, and we want you to be in-the-know about said campaigns.

TOURS //

FESTIVALS //

And I don’t think we’ve ever been so excited about launching our newest venture, THE MUSICIAN COALITION. All of these tours and festivals are currently in support of this Coalition, in which we are asking bands from ALL genres to help us build life saving radio towers, as an integral part of the Protection Plan.
