“And that is how change happens. One gesture. One person. One moment at a time.”
-Libba Bray, The Sweet Far Thing

After visiting the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. last summer, 17-year-old Braden Sweeney became intrigued that “there is still genocide occurring today” and decided he “wanted to make a difference in the world.” After coming across information about Invisible Children’s Protection Plan which is dedicated to implementing projects that directly contribute to the protection of LRA-affected communities, he decided to raise money and donate all proceeds to the Protection Plan.

Sometimes – when you ask nicely – U.S. Congress makes $10 million available for protecting families at risk of LRA attacks. That’s good money. Thanks to everyone out there who called, tweeted, or met with their Members of Congress. Nice work.
Check out Resolve’s blog post about it. Resolve is our partner in KONY 2012 and they know what’s what in DC.

Dan Pallotta visits the Invisible Children office
Dan Pallotta is a builder of movements. He is a philanthropist, the author of “Uncharitable“, contributor to the Harvard Business Review, president of Advertising for Humanity, and founder of Pallotta Teamworks which invented the multi-day AIDS Rides and Breast Cancer 3-Days. He altered the landscape of options for the ordinary individual yearning to make an extraordinary difference in history. He is a huge inspiration and, dare I say, legendary among the people in our office. Read: we were totally freaking out.
