KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) — Ugandan forces captured a senior commander of Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army after a brief fight with rebels near the border between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic, an army official said Sunday, in what an analyst said was an “intelligence coup” for the forces hunting for Mr. Kony.

She explained how the combination of FM radio broadcasts and defection leaflets gave her the courage to finally escape, more than three years after she was abducted by the LRA.
